Checking
the scales:
At right, you can see an image of the HUGE
bag of cases that it took to pull the trigger on my Glock 22.
The weight was determined using the OHAUS Triple Beam scale. My goal of
course is to empty that bag!
Keep in
mind, that you can't really compare the measurements I am obtaining with
this system with your average trigger scale. I won't go into great
detail about he physics involved, but I think it is safe to say that I
would likely get lower load figures using a trigger scale. In addition,
I believe that figures obtained using a system similar to this one are
significantly more accurate.
I suspect many of the 2, 3 and 4 pound
figures I have seen bandied about based on the "Acme" trigger
scale are woefully inaccurate and understated.
Below, I have begun a table containing
load values, trigger modifications, and comments. I will update this
table as I complete each modification.
